Staff outlines multi-phase stormwater project including hydrodynamic separator for Park/Canton

City staff described a proposed hydrodynamic separator as part of a multi-phase stormwater mitigation effort in the Canton and Park corridor. Kyle said the device is "reliance on a non electrically powered mitigation strategy when we have regular rain and storms," and that the CRA would fund a portion of the project and leverage additional funds.

Staff said the project is largely underground and would produce visible at-grade inlet improvements; the two-year initiative was discussed as approximately a $2.45 million effort in current materials. Board members asked about final discharge points and technical details; staff deferred engineering-specific questions and offered to bring the project back for a dedicated update if members wanted more detail.
