Board requests future briefings on parking-minimum policy and local healthcare industry

A board member suggested placing parking-minimum policy—specifically consideration of removing or phasing out parking minimums—on a future agenda. Staff responded that a citywide parking study with phased recommendations will be presented to City Council on Aug. 4 and offered to present the study to this board as well.

Separately, in light of the Talent Accelerator presentation highlighting healthcare as a growth industry, a board member requested a future briefing focused on the state of the local healthcare industry and potential targets for economic-development efforts.

Staff identified Transportation Services as the department that would present the parking study and noted that economic-development staff could add contextual slides if relevant.
