Commissioners authorize Event Center network contract with Matrix for about $12,646

Commissioner Michael told the board that prior arrangements with another vendor and a Denver provider had not moved forward and presented a renewed quote from Matrix to provide Event Center networking services. He said Matrix's proposal "comes in just slightly cheaper" and gave a cost of $12,646.37 for the work.

The commissioners discussed whether the county was contractually obligated to the earlier Denver agreement; staff reported the contract had not been signed and the vendor did not follow up. A commissioner moved to approve the Matrix contract for the Event Center and to authorize the president to sign the agreement once terms are negotiated; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
