Peter Springstill, representing the Crowleys, returned with a revised screening design for pool equipment at 2 Eldridge Street. The screening is two-tiered to allow ventilation for ground-mounted equipment while providing elevated screening for the compressor (which must be raised for flood-zone clearance). Springstill said he worked with the vendor to make the rear panels removable to allow service access.
Commissioners reviewed the dimensions (tall portion approximately 7'¾"; lower portion about 4'1") and accepted the change to restore the back panel. The commission approved the application unanimously, with a commissioner noting the screening will be effective from river views and from the adjacent interior windows.
"I'll make the panels removable so that they can get to this equipment when it needs servicing," Springstill said, describing the vendor's revision. The commission asked staff to ensure final drawings reflect the removable panels and the staining/pattern described.
