Human Rights Commission approves EEO recertifications for a group of local vendors

At its July 21 meeting the City of Urbana Human Rights Commission approved EEO certifications and recertifications for a list of local contractors and vendors.

A commissioner enumerated the firms and recommended durations, including Aaron's Hogan Walker (dba AHW) for two years, Brycer for two years, Commerce Bank (corrected to two years following a staff recommendation), Duce Construction Company for one year, IMI Illinois for one year, Key Equipment and Supply Company for one year, Koenig Body and Equipment Company for one year, Locality Media (dba First Due) for two years, MSA Professional Services for one year, National Power Rod Incorporated for two years, SNC Construction for one year, and Varsity Striping and Construction for two years. The commission amended the motion to reflect Commerce Bank's two-year recommendation from staff.

The commission then voted; multiple commissioners voiced affirmative responses (recorded as four affirmative 'I' responses) and the motion carried. The commission did not record individual vote names in the transcript; the motion was recorded as passing and the approved durations will stand as entered in the recertification record.
