Council accepts 2025 audit, approves EMS agreement and routine permits

The Greenfield Common Council accepted the city's 2025 financial statements and Baker Tilly's audit report, with staff telling the council the audit showed the city 'runs a really tight ship' and had no concerning findings. The acceptance was approved by motion and roll call.

Council also approved an EMS agreement with Milwaukee County; staff characterized the outcomes as favorable for the city. Separately, council approved a slate of routine items: additional election inspectors for 2026–2027, operator license renewals, amusement license renewals, a temporary Class B license for Parks & Recreation to sell wine at the Farm to Fork event on Aug. 26, and an annual parade license for Greenfield High School Student Senate on Sept. 28, 2026. All motions were moved, seconded and adopted by roll call during the meeting.

Council approved a memorandum of understanding to continue the Market Match program at the farmers market in partnership with Feeding Southeast Wisconsin; staff noted the agreement does not cost the city but asked for clarity on the legal name of the partner entity in the paperwork.
