Brad Engles, a consultant with Stantec Consulting Services, told the Madison County Board that the Calhoun Station Parkway reconstruction is under way and on track to meet a November 20 completion date. "I still think we're going to meet our deadline of being finished by the end of this year," Engles said, noting heavy rain in the past two months but no anticipated delay to the schedule.
Engles said the project reconstructs roughly 2 miles of Calhoun Station Parkway from Stout Road to Highway 22, converting the existing two-lane section to a three-lane roadway. When a board member asked whether the deadline was the end of the year, Engles specified November 20 as the target. A board member commented that the "road looks good," and the board directed construction to continue moving forward. No motions or votes were recorded during the update.
