Twin Valley SD to launch unified public calendar and district-wide cycle days for 2026–27

Director of Technology Mike nappy told the Twin Valley School District board the district will roll out a unified, public-facing calendar for the 2026–27 school year designed to consolidate district-level events and five building-specific calendars into a single view. "Starting for 26, 27 school year, we're launching a new public facing calendar system designed to unify our district's scheduling efforts," he said, and demonstrated live integrations that will allow families to subscribe via Google and Apple calendar links.

Staff said the new structure includes a universal four-day cycle-day calendar to standardize rotations across buildings and to help traveling staff. The public page will allow toggling of district and building calendars to reduce duplicate entries for families with students in multiple schools. Staff indicated the pages are ready to go and will be launched alongside handbook references and parent communications; minor internal calendars will remain private for staff use.
