Ad hoc committee directs staff to post job, set salary range and align meeting calendar

The mayor reported the ad hoc committee met and passed several motions directing staff to post an open position, set the base salary range (low and high), and have staff update the council meeting calendar so meetings align with other council bodies. "Jess is posting the the job ... as many places as she can, and HR will post it like with LinkedIn and all the other things that the HR can reach out and post the job with," the mayor said.

Council set the next ad hoc meeting for the beginning of September. Members asked questions about timing and staffing coverage related to the recruitment; staff indicated HR would assist with broader outreach to fill the vacancy.
