Town revises site‑plan review process, drawing questions about public access to pre‑submission conferences

A resident, Kathy McGra, asked why public suggestions made during an earlier public hearing (including requests to require presubmission conference submissions) were not included in the final text. Town staff and a board member said presubmission conferences are open to the public and are listed on the town website, but commenters said those meetings are at times (e.g., 10 a.m.) that make attendance difficult and requested videotaping and greater notice so the public can participate earlier in the project lifecycle. Town staff responded that the process was intended to be simpler while retaining public input later in the review.
