911 center reports strong candidate turnout; hires expected soon

A county representative providing a 911 update told commissioners the recruiting process for the 911 center is progressing and that the county has begun interviewing candidates. "In fact, just yesterday alone, we had 8 out of 18 pending candidates that we initiated the interview," Forrest said, adding that the county hopes to present candidates for ratification within several weeks after background checks are completed.

Forrest thanked community members who have engaged on behalf of the 911 team and invited residents to visit the center or request information about the hiring process. The presenter said the county is moving through multiple interview rounds and expects to have ratification requests to the board soon.
