Oak Grove adopts final plat for Oaks of Edgewood Plat 17, finishing subdivision

The Oak Grove Board of Aldermen voted to adopt Bill 26-15, approving the final plat for Oaks of Edgewood Plat 17 and completing the subdivision’s remaining phase.

Matt, city staff, told the board the final plat covers approximately 10.33 acres north of Ninth Street and west of Bob White Lane and includes 34 single-family residential lots. He said the planning and zoning commission had found the final plat substantially the same as the approved preliminary plat and that required civil infrastructure is nearing completion, with a few punch-list items and minor Evergy electrical work remaining. Matt stated staff found the plat in conformance with section 405.425 of the city code.

After first and second readings by title, the board moved for adoption. The city clerk called the roll for final adoption: Bart Easter — yes; Tracy Newcomer — yes; Shane Shawaker — yes; Pam — yes; Kelly Netto — yes. The motion carried and ordinance number 2168 was adopted.

The applicant was identified as B&G Development. Matt noted prior preliminary and final-phase approvals dating back to 2020; this action finalizes the subdivision as described. The board did not attach further conditions in the meeting; the plat will proceed under the city’s standard post-approval processes for final documentation and any remaining infrastructure punch-list items.
