Nisha, a task force participant, described a composting workshop scheduled for Saturday at Oak Hills that will focus on setting up worm (vermicompost) bins. "The class is free to any and everyone... it's a $25 fee to cover the materials," she said, adding that about 15 people had signed up and that family attendance could raise that to about 30.
The session will be outside on a patio or the great lawn to allow demonstrations and hands‑on setup. Nisha said attendees can expect a short instructional segment covering dos and don'ts and then an opportunity to assemble a working bin and take it home with worms and starter compost. She said she will send the flyer to Jody so the moderator can redistribute it to task force members for further promotion.
Organizers asked members to help spread the word and suggested the workshop could be mentioned briefly at other community events to boost attendance.
