Leoti staff report water tower transducer repairs and sewer liner plan after inspection

City Superintendent Blaine Medina reported to the council that the transducer on the large water tower had been removed because debris was obstructing flow; a flush valve was installed to simplify future maintenance. Medina also said well water levels are down by about two inches compared with the same time last year.

Medina reported Mayer Services completed a sewer cleaning and inspection on Jan. 7–8 from the hospital to Logan Street and found a few cracks on top of the sewer main and a small shift on a joint south of the hospital. The council was told a new PVC liner will be installed inside the existing sewer main in a couple of months to address the defects.
