Mayor briefs council on proposed 345-kV transmission line; city not expected to be affected

Mayor Chris Kreutzer briefed the council on a planned Sunflower/Wheatland Electric 345-kilovolt transmission line that would run roughly 360 miles between Holcomb, Kansas and Sidney, Nebraska to strengthen regional grid reliability. Kreutzer told council the project is a regional transmission initiative and said he did not expect it to affect the City of Leoti.
