Authority receives clean 2025 audit; sales tax collections above prior year

The finance committee reported improved sales tax receipts and presented the 2025 financial statement audit. "This county is approximately 12% over last year's collections, and the city is approximately 5% greater than last year's collections on the sales tax," Board Member Steen told the authority.

Steen and Executive Director Benson referenced the audit presentation by Bailey; the auditor issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the 2025 financial statements on June 22, 2026. The board then moved to receive and file the audit report and approved the motion by roll call.

Staff thanked finance staff and consultants for controls that supported the clean opinion and said the report would be filed with the board records.
