Commissioner requests highway-department update on five-year road plan; another commissioner urges remembrance of service members

During commissioner comments, Commissioner Whittington (speaker 11) asked staff for an update presentation on progress under the county's five-year road plan and to begin planning for the subsequent five-year period. The administrator said staff are on track to provide the update and will include discussion of road-monitoring software the county is evaluating.

Separately, another commissioner (speaker 8) commented on the conflict in the Middle East and the risk to service members, urging the community to remember the service and lives lost and to pray for peace. The commission acknowledged both items; the road-plan update will be scheduled as a staff presentation at a future meeting.
