Cascade County work session previews consent agenda with new actuary and audit contracts

Staff said the Lewis & Ellis engagement lists an annual cost of $5,800 for fiscal year 2026 and $3,000 for fiscal year 2027. On the audit contract, staff described line‑item costs as $115,000 for fiscal 2026 and $419,000 for fiscal 2027; the transcript also lists $123,000 with a year label that appears inconsistent with the fiscal sequence discussed. As staff put it, the current agenda item is largely procedural: "The commission has already approved the selection of the proposal. This is just the final, approval... so that we can proceed," (Planning staff, speaker 5).

The chair and staff said the items formalize earlier selections and will be placed on the consent agenda for the regular meeting. No formal votes were recorded during the work session; commissioners limited the session discussion to clarifying costs and confirming the contracts’ placement on the upcoming agenda.
