El Monte approves $2.19 million in school‑district funding for after‑school and youth sports programs

The El Monte City Council authorized the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department to accept and appropriate a total of $2,191,000 for Youth Sports and After School Programs for Contract Year 2026–2027: $591,000 from the El Monte City School District (Fund 201 appropriation) and $1,600,000 from the Mountain View School District (Account No. 210-51-519).
