Commission accepts consent agenda with two abstentions; vice chair election deferred

The Historic Landmark Commission approved the consent agenda and recorded two abstentions. During the vote, one commissioner noted an abstention and another speaker also stated, “I abstain as well.”

Commissioners then discussed electing a vice chair. Staff offered to add the election to the next meeting’s agenda so members would have time to consider nominees; commissioners accepted that approach. The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn carried.
