East Fishkill Board Approves Grants, Contracts and Staff Appointments in Monthly Meeting

The Town Board approved several resolutions including awarding the pickleball-court resurfacing contract to AMR Paving and Masonry LLC for $56,500 and accepting a $45,000 National Fitness Campaign grant toward an outdoor exercise court project estimated at roughly $250,000. The board also authorized staff to prepare a consolidated funding application for Smart Growth community planning assistance to update townwide zoning regulations (up to $250,000 with a 15% local match).

Other approvals included appointing Neil Dwyer provisionally as director of code enforcement (salary reported at $115,000 annually pending civil-service eligibility), adopting a negative declaration under SEQRA for Hopewell Hamlet wastewater treatment plant improvements to enable grant applications, and authorizing utility easements to install EV charging stations at town properties. Several of those items passed by voice vote during the meeting.
