Airport manager reports fuel sales surge, budget status and compliance checks

Airport Manager Jessica Ward (speaker 4) presented the airports operations and financial report to the board, saying, "We have used 49% of our total operating budget so far this year," and warning that the building‑supplies account currently shows a negative balance that will require an internal transfer. Ward explained the deficit reflects expenses for new pumps and converting fuel systems from DC to AC.

Ward highlighted a large increase in fuel sales: "year to date our fuel sales are up 82% over last year," and provided June figures including 2,250.5 gallons of 100LL Avgas and 3,839 gallons of Jet A. She also described a surprise IDEM underground storage tank inspection and Lutheran Airs EMS/helicopter training using the airport’s self‑service Jet A.
