Chair schedules JFAC co‑chair and budget analyst to brief committee on Health and Welfare budget

At the close of the print hearing the Chair informed members that the co‑chair of the Joint Finance‑Appropriations Committee (JFAC) and the budget analyst will appear before the committee tomorrow to review the Health and Welfare budget. "Tomorrow we are going to have the co chair of JFAC come before the committee along with the budget analyst and go over the health and welfare budget," the Chair said, urging members to be prepared to review many numbers.

The Chair asked members to begin thinking about which sections of the budget they wanted to review and described the reason for an early briefing: the Chair had received notice from JFAC that he would be asked to appear and wanted committee members to have the budget in hand before that appearance. The committee did not take any budget votes at the print hearing; the briefing was scheduled for the committee's next meeting.
