Heyburn Council, United Electric discuss property transfer for O Street widening; staff to prepare survey

During the July 8 special meeting, Michael Darrington of United Electric Co-op, Inc. outlined a proposed acquisition of a portion of United Electric property required for the O Street widening project. He described proposed property boundaries and the anticipated need to relocate fencing and an entrance to accommodate the roadway work.

Council and staff examined utility service implications and future development needs tied to the right-of-way acquisition. United Electric expressed willingness to work cooperatively with the city. City staff were directed to continue preparing a survey, property descriptions, and cost estimates to support future negotiations and any formal acquisition action.
