Town consultants presented the proposed project package intended for the FFY 2025 CDBG Neighborhood Revitalization application, detailing several infrastructure upgrades and park amenities. Jeffrey Winters of Cornerstone Community Partners read the scope included in the application: "Construction of approximately 900 LF of concrete sidewalk along Broward Avenue (from Main Street to Beach Park) including ADA ramps, mats and striping; Renovation of existing bathroom structure including fixtures, stall dividers, floor drain, painting; Construction of approximately 600 SF open picnic shelter with light; Construction of adult exercise stations, exercise trail and parking lot striping; and Replacement of fixtures at community center bathrooms."
Council members did not debate the individual line items at length during the special session; resident Larry Flaman asked which items would be located at Mayor Park and asked about the length of the walking trail. Jeffrey Winters confirmed the CATF committee recommended the projects for inclusion in the application.
