Council approves $307,176 pay application for treatment-plant work, tables exterior-painting decision

The Milford Town Council voted to approve Division A pay application No. 9 for the wastewater treatment plant, authorizing payment of $307,175.71 to cover interior work including plumbing and electrical. Ryan Brian LaRue presented the application and recommended the payment, saying, “This pay application is in the amount of $307,175.71.”

Councilors discussed a separate change order (Change Order No. 1) for exterior coating and painting of the treatment plant, presented at $20,580. LaRue said the coating would largely be aesthetic with added weatherproofing and could be done concurrently with interior painting. Council members agreed they needed rooftop-access pricing before deciding and voted to table the change order until those numbers are available. Chair called for the item to be prioritized with the contractor so a rooftop-access estimate will be available before the next meeting.
