Council renews CTV Corporation tax abatements tied to conference-center expansion

Representatives for CTV Corporation appeared before the council to request renewal of two abatements linked to the company's 2021 expansion of the conference center. Councilors asked whether a conflict existed due to personal donations to a council member's school program; they discussed abstention and then voted to renew both the real-property and personal-property abatements.
