Jason Burgess, a committee member, told colleagues he expected DAS to require a final bid package including plans and specifications and asked whether Russell and Dawson had supplied revised plans incorporating comments from the April meeting. Craig Barrette said Russell and Dawson had provided price updates but had not delivered updated plans.
Committee members agreed revised plans and specifications must be presented to the committee for review and approval before being submitted to DAS and before preparing bid documents. They requested that Russell and Dawson attend the Aug. 19, 2026 meeting to review revisions in person and identify the lead engineer assigned to the project.
Mrs. Raynor said she would contact Russell and Dawson the next day to request the revised plans be provided in advance so committee members have sufficient time to review them prior to the meeting. The request aims to prevent delays at the DAS plan-review stage and to ensure the district can meet projected procurement timelines.
