Staff presented probe results for a potential pump-station site on the west side of Bridge Street on a parcel identified in the packet. Probes B and D reached about 30 feet and staff said the location would place the station above the ordinary high-water mark. "It is possible to get the manhole out or maybe surfaced a little like the one you have now," staff said, adding the site would likely not require a generator because it is above the flood level.
Property owner Gary Brusher participated and described potential accommodations and asked the commission to consider access for future water, sewer and electric lines to a nearby historic parcel behind the Round Church. Commissioners discussed whether land acquisition discussions should be handled in executive session and agreed to schedule a dedicated follow-up meeting to address property questions and design details.
