Council adopts one‑side parking restrictions on several local streets

The Borough Council adopted Ordinance 261591 on second reading to amend Chapter 7 (traffic) and impose specified parking restrictions on parts of Kina Drive, Pinewood Drive, Kabonus Drive and Bruce Court. The ordinance was presented and read by the clerk, and the council opened the required public hearing; no members of the public spoke on the ordinance before the hearing was closed.

A council member disclosed they live on one of the affected streets and abstained from the vote in keeping with standard conflict‑of‑interest practice. Council members said the restriction is intended to improve safety and maintain emergency access during school drop‑off and pick‑up times. The ordinance will go into effect as adopted and parking regulation signage will be placed by borough staff.
