Board approves Babcock rebuild with 30% expansion limit, requires D permit

After detailed footprint calculations and discussion of a small jog in the existing structure, a board member moved to approve the application with an allowance up to the 30% expansion limit and the condition that the applicant obtain D approval (a permit-by-rule) for ground disturbance. The motion was seconded and carried with five votes in favor.

Board members instructed staff to record the approval as allowing up to 30% expansion, to maintain the existing setback line from the water and to require the applicant to secure any required D permit before commencing ground disturbance. The board closed the public hearing following the vote.
