Ogden library earns top-tier accreditation; summer program reports 239 sign-ups

Mayor Lori told the council the Ogden Public Library earned tier three accreditation from the state library system, the highest level for a library of the city's size.

"Tier three is the highest level of accreditation recognizing libraries that meet rigorous standards for governance, collection services, technology, planning and community support for a library of our size," Lori said, and noted the city received a certificate. Staff also reported 239 summer-reading sign-ups and that programming will wrap up late July.

Council members congratulated the library staff for their work and thanked volunteers and donors for supporting summer programs. The mayor also relayed a $500 donation from the Southside Pioneers age club designated for the H City Park project.
