Board approves multiple pay requests for street, wastewater and dog-park projects

The Village Board approved several construction and reimbursement pay requests during the July 14 meeting.

Pay request No. 1 for the 2026 street improvement projects (Eagle, Hawthorne, Aspen and Linden Drives) from Vinton Construction was approved for $112,803.94 following Board of Public Works recommendation. The board also approved pay request No. 1 for the 2026 wastewater treatment plant fill removal project for BMCI Construction in the amount of $118,802.25 and recommended approval of reimbursement request No. 16 for the tertiary filter and UV disinfection projects ($39,575.63) under the clean water fund loan.

For the dog park project at Cedar Creek Park, the board approved pay request No. 3 to Low Underground Inc. for $61,605.51. Staff reported the project is nearing completion: clearing, paths, stone and mulch are in place, fencing is mostly up, grass has been planted and concrete pours and final gates remain; the project is slightly behind the original substantial/final completion dates and one minor change order is expected. Each payment was approved by voice vote after Board of Public Works and Budget and Finance recommendations.
