Council introduces environmental‑committee and data‑center ordinances

South Plainfield council introduced two ordinances for future hearings: Ordinance 2405 would amend borough code to have the Environmental Advisory Committee serve as the borough’s Green Team and assume responsibility for the Sustainable Jersey program; Ordinance 2406 would amend the code to set performance standards for data centers operating in the borough.
