No immediate fee increases proposed, board reviews student fee policy

During the public hearing on the district’s student fee policy (policy 5045), district staff reported there are no plans at this time to recommend higher student fees. The board heard that lunch fees will be reviewed before handbooks are finalized and that certain authorized extracurricular activity fees exist but are not being collected in full.

District staff summarized the status: “Right now there are no plans to recommend different student fees, higher student fees. I'd like to look at the lunch just a little bit closer before August before we do the handbooks, but right now we'll be just as is,” said Brian, who led the fee review at the hearing. Trustees treated the discussion as a review; no fee increases were proposed at the meeting.
