Board approves routine policy updates including changes to meeting advertising

The Stapleton board approved a package of policy updates required by statute and routine administration. The package included revisions tied to meeting notices (reducing required advertisement frequency but recommending continued monthly newspaper notices), procurement and fiscal management updates for federal funds, and updates to student discipline and related policies.

A motion to approve the listed policy updates was made by Rex Walls and seconded by Chance Connell; the board carried the motion by roll‑call vote with the members recorded as voting yes. During discussion, trustees said they would continue monthly newspaper ads to ensure broad public notice even though the updated policy requires fewer mandatory advertisements.

Separately, the board also reviewed and approved a newly required policy (3061 AC) for electronic transaction acceptance after members discussed practical needs for payroll and other electronic transfers.
