Library Director Elizabeth told the board that Prosser Library's grand opening week drew 515 people across multiple events and that the library's online channels saw nearly 8,400 Instagram views during the same period.
"We had 515 people come to the events throughout the week," Elizabeth said, and she added the Prom-themed anchor event drew participants of all ages, noting attendees ranged from infants to people in their 90s. She said the library mailed a flyer to every household and is distributing printed copies of the FY25 annual report to staff and key stakeholders.
Elizabeth also reported that summer reading registrations were at 499 and reminded the board that the Friends of the Library fund the entire summer reading program. She urged elected officials and board members to help spread messaging that the library locations are open and available to the community.
