Commission approves committee assignments, personnel recommendations and to recruit GIS analyst if city/county fund it

Commissioners approved a package of administrative actions including committee appointments, personnel recommendations from the personnel committee, and next steps on advisory scheduling. The personnel committee recommended a 2.7% cost-of-living adjustment for planning staff (to match the county COLA), asked that staff and committee roles have written function descriptions and that committee meetings keep minutes, and recommended recruiting a GIS analyst if the city and county will support the position financially.

Chair announced that, following the chair's upcoming resignation effective next month, commissioner Dan Nolet will serve as chair beginning in September and Steve Griffin will serve as vice chair until the next scheduled election in February 2027. The motion to adopt the personnel committee's recommendations and the committee assignments passed by voice vote.
