Wastewater task force outlines $7.3M and $11.2M options for different capacities

Selectboard Chair Erik Johnson summarized July 16 that the Wastewater Task Force has received new cost figures from consultants showing two principal options: a moderate‑capacity system estimated at about $7.3 million (roughly 37,500 gallons per day capacity, serving about 153 units) and a higher‑capacity system estimated at about $11.2 million (roughly 60,500 gallons per day, serving about 288 units). Dubois & King is awaiting the task force’s answers to specific questions before continuing design work.

The task force discussed phasing options to spread costs and capacity over time. Chair Johnson asked that the board review outreach plans: task‑force members and outreach volunteers will present to various town groups and continue targeted conversations with Riverside residents and other stakeholders. No procurement or financing decision was made; the task force requested direction on phasing preferences and continuation of outreach.
