Maintenance lead Alex Kohout presented estimates from Rose Equipment for critical repairs on the village street sweeper and asked the board to authorize the most urgent work plus adding a right-side lift cylinder. On a motion by Jere Leif seconded by Mike Banks, trustees approved proceeding with the most critical items and adding the lift cylinder at an approximate cost of $8,000; the roll call vote was all aye, 4-0.
Kohout also presented an estimate from Aqua-Chem for 22 gallons of pool paint; the board approved purchasing the paint and adding one gallon of red on a motion by Lance Breitkreutz seconded by Jere Leif (roll call all aye). Viking completed an inspection and cleaning of the Beaver Crossing water tower on Monday, July 8; Kohout said Viking will provide a report for any necessary follow-up. Kohout additionally reported the village pickup has catalytic converter issues and he will check repair costs.
