A resident of 46 Roxbury Road told the Marlborough Board of Selectmen of a line-of-sight problem at a corner near the pumphouse; Town Administrator Ellen Smith said she will contact the Department of Public Works to request brush cutting.
The board discussed a 1.5-acre lot for sale on Forrest Drive. Chairman Paight said he had contacted the broker, who reported the current owner has been paying taxes as if the lot were buildable; a survey is being conducted but Chairman Paight noted that a survey alone will not determine buildability. Selectman Pitt said the onus is on the property owner to determine whether the lot is buildable and that the town would become involved if and when a building permit is submitted.
The board also reviewed sign permit applications: a permit for Marlborough Country Store (Map 14-057) was approved, and no permit was required for a Welcome sign at 1 Main Street.
These items were discussed as part of routine local permitting and property inquiries; no new permits beyond the Marlborough Country Store approval were recorded as granted in the minutes.
