Britton council accepts consent docket and approves 2026 meeting calendar

The Village of Britton council met Jan. 13, 2026, called to order at 7:00 p.m. by R. Frazier and adjourned at 8:26 p.m. At the meeting the council accepted a consent docket of routine items and approved its 2026 meeting calendar.

During roll call the council recorded members J. Skee, E. Redmon, R. Frazier and J. Frayer as present and listed guests including S. Zietlow and G. and J. Escott. Trustee Skee moved to accept the consent docket as presented; Trustee Redmon supported the motion. The transcript records the result as "All in favor -3 nays 0" and the clerk noted "Motion Carried."

Later under new business, Trustee Frayer moved to approve the 2026 meeting calendar; Trustee Skee supported that motion. The transcript records the vote as "All in favor -4 nays 0" and "Motion Carried." Council members also reviewed a proposed budget and requested that budget materials be circulated so the budget will be ready for a February vote.
