Board members asked for a visual showing the largest truck that would be permitted to use the site; the consultant said the project's modeled vehicles were on the smaller end of tractor trailers (a W B 50 and a W B 40 were cited as examples, representing roughly 42.5-foot and 33-foot trailers). Members remained concerned about on-site turning and the potential for swing-outs onto adjacent lanes while negotiating narrow local streets. One member proposed a "dry run" or field check to observe how a representative truck would navigate Lawrence Street; the applicant said driveways and on-site geometry limited what could be tested without full construction.
The developer said it would accept time-of-day delivery limits and monitoring conditions, and staff proposed a follow-up review if in-field observations showed safety problems, allowing the board to tighten restrictions if needed.
