Adair County supervisors approve $596,984.51 in claims, authorize chair to sign 28E agreement

The Adair County Board of Supervisors on July 8 approved an itemized claims docket totaling $596,984.51 and authorized Chair Jerry Walker to sign a 28E intergovernmental agreement, concluding a brief regular session at 9:03 a.m.

Supervisors Baier, Hoadley, Christoffersen and Chair Jerry Walker were listed as present. Other items included landfill per-capita census payments, FY27 tax draws to local entities such as the fair board and Matura Action Corp, utilities, and routine equipment and supply purchases. The grand total approved was $596,984.51.

The auditor/treasurer’s fund distribution reported on the record allocated the total across funds as follows: General Fund $219,421.84; General Supplemental $112,813.74; Rural Services $28,813.13; Secondary Road $227,194.63; Adair County Insurance Trust $8,741.17. The board approved the distributions as part of the claims motion.

Later in the session, Supervisor Hoadley moved and Supervisor Baier seconded a motion authorizing Chair Jerry Walker to sign a 28E agreement. The motion passed unanimously; the transcript does not include the text of the 28E agreement or name the other parties to the agreement.
