Finance committee approves FY2026 and FY2027 expenditure lists, schedules special budget meeting

The Beetzal River Council of Commissioners finance and budget committee approved two expenditure lists on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, voting to accept the fiscal year 2026 list totaling $988,065.38 and the fiscal year 2027 list totaling $775,183.15.

Chair Thacher presided over the meeting and a committee member moved to approve the FY2026 expenditure list “as of Wednesday, 07/22/2026, the amount of $988,065.38.” The committee approved the motion by voice vote. A subsequent motion to approve the FY2027 expenditure list in the amount of $775,183.15 also passed by voice vote.

The committee also moved to place a communication from Chief Executive J.P. Gallagher on file. Chair Thacher read a notice that Gallagher is calling a special meeting of the Beetzal River Council of Commissioners for Monday, 06/29/2026, at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers Room 312 for a presentation from Karen Hassler, finance and budget director, on the preliminary FY2026–27 budget; the motion to place the communication on file passed 6 to 0.

With no additional questions on the expenditure lists or the announcement, members approved the motions and adjourned the session.
