The Worth County Board of Supervisors met July 20, 2026, and approved $33,846.82 in drainage claims, accepted the auditor’s quarterly report and set the county mileage reimbursement rate at $0.76 per mile.
Chair Enos Loberg called the meeting to order and noted that Supervisors Mark Smeby and A.J. Stone were present. Supervisor Mark Smeby moved and Supervisor A.J. Stone seconded a motion to approve the meeting agenda and the July 13, 2026 minutes; the motion carried.
The board approved drainage claims totaling $33,846.82 after a motion from Supervisor Smeby and a second from Supervisor Stone. The claims list included payments for ditch repairs, spraying and professional services from vendors listed in the minutes, including Helgeson Drainage Inc., Bolton & Menk Inc., TBB Spraying, Century Ag Inc., and Rognes Bros Excavating Inc.; the meeting record lists individual line items and amounts and a grand total of $33,846.82.
Supervisor A.J. Stone moved and Supervisor Mark Smeby seconded a motion to approve the auditor’s quarterly report; the motion carried.
Chair Enos Loberg moved and Supervisor A.J. Stone seconded a motion to set the county mileage reimbursement rate at $0.76 per mile effective July 1, 2026, citing a recent interim revision by the Internal Revenue Service. The board approved the rate with Stone and Loberg voting yes and Smeby voting no.
The board also acknowledged filing of the Iowa Land Records 2025–2026 Annual Report following a motion by Supervisor Smeby and a second from Supervisor Stone. The board adjourned at 8:59 A.M.
