At the July 8 Committee of the Whole meeting, the Harlem Consolidated School District #122 committee approved several administrative recommendations by consensus.
Josh Aurand introduced a recommendation to purchase seats with Summit Academy; Scott Bloomquist of the Regional Office of Education described Summit’s mission, its role in returning students to their home school when appropriate, and the program’s comparative cost-effectiveness. The committee reached consensus to accept the recommendation that the district purchase the necessary Summit Academy seats to support students.
Aurand then provided an overview of district finances and the committee reached consensus to accept the May 2026 Treasurer’s Report.
The committee approved a three-year renewal of Google Workspace for Education Plus for a total of $111,186 to be paid from the technology department budget; the renewal was accepted by consensus.
Aurand proposed a resolution declaring the district’s intent to issue up to $7,000,000 in Working Cash Fund bonds, describing cost breakout for planned life-safety projects and stating the objective of completing projects “without significantly increasing debt service.” The committee reached consensus to accept the recommendation to publish the legally required notice of intent to issue bonded working cash funds.
The minutes record consensus approvals but do not include roll-call vote tallies or motions by named board members. The committee adjourned at 6:07 p.m.
