Sandgate's Selectboard on Jan. 19 approved the revised warning for the 2026 Town Meeting and a combined General Fund and Highway budget totaling $728,182.
Selectboard member Linda Schmidt moved to approve the warning and budget; Selectboard member Rob Viglas seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board said the revised warning incorporates alterations discussed at the Jan. 5 meeting.
The meeting record notes open town offices: Town Auditor Sheila Kearns will resign effective Election Day, March 3. Residents interested in running for Auditor or Lister positions were advised to visit Town Hall to set out petitions; fully signed petitions are due Jan. 26.
The board approved the warning for distribution; those items will appear on the official town meeting materials distributed before the election.
The Selectboard's next meeting is on Monday, Feb. 2 at 6:00 p.m. at Sandgate Town Hall.
