Commissioners approve inter‑fund transfers, recorder travel and bill payments

The Tuscarawas County Board of Commissioners on July 15 approved several routine administrative items. The board authorized inter‑fund transfers/advances from the County General fund to Children Services ($340,897.92) and to Public Assistance ($20,361.11). The transfers were approved on a motion by Commissioner Mitch Pace and second by Commissioner Greg Ress.

The board also approved an out‑of‑county travel request submitted by Recorder Lori Gardner for the Ohio Recorder’s Association conference held June 10–12, 2026 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio; the expense listed was $192.86 and a county vehicle was not used. Finally, the board voted to approve payment of listed county bills. All items were approved by unanimous vote (Kristin Zemis, Greg Ress and Mitch Pace).

These approvals were presented as part of routine business and included standard documentation in the commissioner’s journal.
