The Oneida County Planning & Development Committee handled several procedural and zoning items on July 8, forwarding staffing requests and a rezoning resolution, declining interim action on a Minocqua parking administrative‑review denial, and denying a property reconfiguration request while directing staff and the owner to continue work.
The committee unanimously approved a motion by Billy Fried, second by Bob Almekinder, to forward the 2027 LTE staffing renewal requests to the Executive Committee for consideration in the 2027 budget. The committee also approved a motion to forward Rezone Petition #01‑2026 (owners: Joshua and Jacy Przekurat) as a consent item for the County Board.
On an administrative review matter concerning Lots 1, 2, 19 and part of Lot 18 in Block 9, Village of Minocqua (PIN MI‑3346), the Town of Minocqua had denied an administrative review permit; Billy Fried spoke on behalf of the Town. The committee moved, on a motion by Dan Hess and second by Bob Almekinder, to take no action at this time.
The committee considered a reconfiguration request for property in Section 28 (PINs PL‑586‑3, PL‑586‑4 and PL‑586) under Chapter 15, Section 15.31(2) of the Subdivision and Platting Ordinance. After conferring with staff, Jon Bandow and Scott Norine, the committee voted (motion by Bob Almekinder, second by Billy Fried) to deny the reconfiguration request. The committee directed the property owner and Jon Bandow to work with staff on a revised proposal and return it to a future meeting.
The committee approved the June 24, 2026 meeting minutes and set future meeting dates for July 22 and August 5, 2026. Chair Scott Holewinski adjourned the meeting at 3:37 p.m.
